Does it turn on and off automatically, or do I have to do something each night?It turns on by itself when it gets dark and shuts off on its own when morning light hits the panel. Once it's mounted, you don't need to touch it.
What surfaces does the pattern show up best on?
Light-colored surfaces like white or light gray walls, fences, and siding give you the clearest, most visible pattern. Very dark or heavily textured surfaces will still show the projection, but the contrast won't be as sharp.
Can I use this indoors near a window, or is it outdoor-only?
It's designed for outdoor use, but you can place it near a bright, sun-facing window indoors as long as the panel gets enough direct light during the day to fully charge. Results will vary depending on how much sunlight reaches the panel.
How do I mount it — does it come with any hardware?
The light is designed to hang or mount on a wall, post, or fence. Check your package for any included mounting hardware, and make sure to position the solar panel face-up or angled toward the sun for the best charge each day.
How to use
- Choose your spot. Pick an outdoor location where the solar panel will get several hours of direct sunlight during the day — south- or west-facing walls, fence posts, and garden stakes all work well.
- Mount the light. Attach it to a wall, fence, or post using the included hardware, and make sure the solar panel is angled to catch the sun rather than sitting in shade.
- Aim it toward a flat surface. Point the front of the light toward a wall, fence panel, or siding — the closer the surface, the tighter the pattern; the farther away, the larger it spreads.
- Let it run. The light turns on automatically after dark and shuts off at dawn. No switches, no timers, no action needed on your end.
