How long is the power cable between the solar panel and the pump?The cable connecting the solar panel to the pump is approximately 5 feet long, giving you flexibility to position the panel in a sunny spot while the pump sits in your bird bath. This works well for most standard backyard setups.
Does the fountain run at night or store energy?
The HydroSun fountain runs on direct solar power only and does not include a battery, so it will pause after sunset and restart automatically when daylight returns in the morning. No charging or switching required.
How deep does the bird bath need to be for the pump to work properly?
The pump works best in water that is at least 1.5 inches deep to keep the intake submerged. Most standard bird baths hold enough water — just top it off every few days as water evaporates or birds splash around.
Is it safe to leave outside in the rain or does it need to be brought inside?
